What Is A Credit Union?

CENTRAL CITY MISSION STATEMENT:
"Central City Credit Union is a progressive, competitive and strong full service financial organization dedicated to providing exceptional service to our member-owners."

A credit union is a not-for-profit financial cooperative owned by and serving its members. Members are those people who share something in common. In the case of Central City Credit Union, to be a member you need to live or work in an area shown on our service area map, or have a family member who has joined Central City.

Credit unions, like all financial institutions, are closely regulated. Central City member deposits are insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Share Insurance Fund, administered by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA), an agency of the federal government.

There are more than 70 million member-owners of credit unions in the United States in more than 12,000 credit unions. If you would like to become a member of Central City Credit Union, please fill out the membership application provided and we will contact you to determine when it is convenient for you to come in to sign the application and make your initial deposit.

A deposit of $5.00 in a savings account is all that is required to maintain your membership and make all our financial services available to you.

Central City Credit Union would like to be your financial center of choice. If you have any questions regarding membership, rates, fees, or any other aspect of Central City, please call us at (715)387-3702 or email us at newaccts@centralcitycu.com.
